¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...its the stones, paddeling became technical - cool but scary for the first time.
It was a very pleasing and exciting experience to paddle this canyon. Its quite hard to capture its beauty seen from street. Inside it was gorgeous.
This tiny and beautiful creature reminded me on scenes from the Avatar movie - but instead of blue, this one is green - well, of course: its planet Earth!
Asco river already looks partially really steep, water also looks good and indeed, we ran down the Asco later!
I didn not expect to see kayaks on the river as the water level was pretty low. Nevertheless, there was a group of paddlers and seemingly it worked very well.
Starting in Corte it is easy to explore the Restonica valley. This is actually a pretty nice place as you can hike up to the Lac du Melo. This time I was just curious about water levels :-) however, there was no paddeling at the irst 2 days.
There will be some water - fortunately!
First 2 days were planned to stay in Corte, then meeting with fellow paddle sports friends in Francardu. First river to go was Golo, unfortunately there are no pictures from Golo.
Arriving in Bastia.
First milestone achieved, crossing the Alps.
